SlideBoom is a collaborative tool designed to aid businesses with international components. SlideBoom was created by iSpring and uses the iSpring software at its heart. iSpring is a Russian company with offices in America and Russia. The iSpring presentation conversion plug-in is considered the best and is used by many large companies such as Boeing and IBM. SlideBoom uses the same software to convert presentations into flash.

SlideBoom makes it possible to convert presentations without any loss of quality or function, anything that’s embedded in the presentation including audio and video will be retained. The layout will also remain the same, animations and transitions are also retained. SlideBoom uses iSpring software to convert presentations without loss, the iSpring plug in can also be used to create flash presentations from PowerPoint presentations.

SlideBoom is a nice web application to use, and it’s very easy to navigate. The homepage of the site looks a lot like many of the other popular social networking sites, there is even a list of the most popular presentations to look at. Using the interface to view other people’s presentations is a breeze. Submitting presentations is also really easy, but it is necessary to sign up for an account first. The website is very clean and little icons make finding the right link easy. Presentations are also tagged with certain keywords which makes it possible to easily find presentations which are related. The popular keywords appear larger than others so you can pick out some of the most popular terms. The presentations are split up into categories which allows people to choose a theme and then view presentations about that topic. This makes it a potentially useful educational tool as certain subjects can be researched on the application.

Clicking this presents you with a form to fill out; in this you will need to enter your email address, name, and a few other details. You do need to enter your email address, and you will also be sent an email to confirm your address by clicking on a link.

Individuals will be well-served by the free presentation builder, but businesses may want to invest in the Pro upgrade, which costs $195 per year. Pro unlocks a number of special features, such as stat tracking, ad-free presentations and embed codes.
